Our community commitment

Run the Night. Own the Morning.

Men’s Night Run Club Foundation brings men together through movement, wellness, and meaningful connection. We ask everyone in our community to help create an environment where people feel respected, supported, and safe.

This Code of Conduct applies to participants, guests, volunteers, leaders, staff, and partners during MNRC runs, events, programs, and online spaces.

Effective date: 10/1/2026

Respect the people beside you

Treat others with dignity, regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, background, fitness level, or running experience.

Harassment, discrimination, threats, bullying, hazing, unwanted sexual attention, and abusive behavior have no place at MNRC.

Respect personal space and boundaries. Ask before physical contact, and stop when someone says no or shows discomfort. Nobody owes another participant personal information, contact details, friendship, or a relationship.

Our running community is designed for men ages 18 and older. Please follow the eligibility and registration requirements for each event.

Run responsibly

Follow event instructions, traffic laws, route guidance, and directions from designated leaders.

For night runs, use lighting or reflective gear appropriate to the conditions. Stay aware of traffic, terrain, weather, and the people around you. Keep audio low enough to hear safety instructions.

Choose a pace and distance appropriate for you. Tell a leader if you need assistance or leave the group early. Do not pressure anyone to continue through pain, illness, distress, or unsafe conditions.

Do not participate while impaired. Weapons, violence, illegal activity, and dangerous behavior are prohibited at MNRC activities, subject to applicable law.

Support without pressure

Encourage others without shaming their pace, body, health, or experience.

Listen respectfully when someone shares something personal. Do not pressure people to disclose private experiences or repeat their stories without permission, except when necessary to seek help for a serious safety concern.

Our community offers connection and encouragement. Participation does not create access to professional medical or mental-health care.

Respect privacy and consent

Ask permission before photographing, recording, or posting identifiable images of another participant. Respect requests to stay out of photos or videos, and follow any additional event photography rules.

Do not share another person’s contact information, health information, private messages, or personal story without their permission.

MNRC will explain any official event photography arrangements. Tell an organizer if you have a concern or prefer not to be photographed.

Care for our community and surroundings

Respect public spaces, neighbors, other road and trail users, venues, and equipment. Dispose of litter properly and avoid obstructing paths.

Do not use MNRC events or online groups for unauthorized sales, fundraising, recruiting, solicitation, or promotion. Obtain permission before presenting yourself as an MNRC representative or using MNRC’s name or logo.

Leaders must use their position responsibly and must not exploit participants’ trust or create pressure for personal, financial, romantic, or sexual favors.

Raise a concern

If something feels unsafe or violates this code, speak with an event leader or contact:

Conduct contact: community@mensnightrunclub.com
Alternative contact: chris@capturedvisions.net

Use the alternative contact if your concern involves the primary contact or event leader.

Share what happened, when and where it occurred, and any information that may help us respond. You do not need to confront the person involved or investigate the matter yourself.

For immediate danger or an urgent medical emergency, contact local emergency services first.

How MNRC responds

MNRC will take reports seriously, review them as promptly as practicable, and handle information with care. Information may need to be shared with people responsible for responding or where required by law; absolute confidentiality cannot be promised.

Depending on the circumstances, MNRC may provide guidance, issue a warning, remove someone from an activity, suspend participation, remove someone from a leadership role, or prohibit future participation.

We may take immediate protective steps while reviewing a concern. Where practicable, people affected will have an opportunity to provide information. A person may request reconsideration by an unconflicted board member through the alternative contact above.

Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith or assists with a review is prohibited. A report does not need to be proven to receive this protection.

Our shared commitment

By participating in MNRC activities or community spaces, you agree to follow this code and help uphold a culture of respect, accountability, and care.

Every mile is an opportunity to strengthen ourselves and our community.
